Gran Paradiso Ascent with an Alpine Guide – Your First 4000m Peak
Gran Paradiso (4,061 m) is the ideal mountain for tackling your first summit above 4,000 metres. A classic and fascinating ascent in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, set among glaciers, wide snow-covered slopes and spectacular views over the Alps.
It’s the perfect climb for those who want to approach high altitude in a progressive and safe way, accompanied by a certified Alpine Guide.
What level is required?
The ascent does not involve major technical difficulties, but it takes place in a high-mountain environment on a glacier.
A good level of fitness and the ability to hike for several hours are required. Advanced mountaineering experience is not necessary, but it’s important to feel comfortable on snow and ice.
The Mountain Guide will ensure safety during glacier travel, the use of crampons and ice axe, and while tackling the more demanding sections, including the final passage to the Madonna on the summit.
